It has been around 8 days since we have been put in confinement and for me, it’s not really easy to get to work as home is usually the place I only rest after school. But today, I decided I would be motivated and productive, I also hope to keep it that way during the rest of this taken mesure.

I would like to talk about how we can motivate ourselves even though I am not the best at this! My first advice is to wake up at the same time everyday and preferably just a little later than usual. Then you could take a quick shower (not too comfortably warm in order not to take too long) to wake up a little bit more, have some coffee, some tea or just a fruit juice and a good breakfast. Then get ready just as if you were going to school (the shoes, the coat and the makeup aren’t that necessary though). Then just sit at your desk and start working. I would recommend to set a to-do list for each day and follow it (even though my sister gave one to me but I didn’t really fill it at all 😂). Also why not start by the most interesting subjects or the easiest homework you have. And a really personal advice to follow only if it fits you: Some people are morning people and some are somewhat night people, so some would be more productive on mornings🌅 and some would only find the motivation when comes the night🌙 (that’s me 🙋‍♂️). Although try not to become a complete nyctalope (that is awake only during the night, like an owl 🦉) so that you don’t miss scheduled tests for example.

Now, let’s talk about “confinement activities”. This expression might seem a little innapropriate, or you might be thinking about yoga, drawing, gym on the TV etc. Actually, even though these activities are not bad at all for some of us, there are many occupations that were recently created! For example, around the entire world, people have been playing their instruments at their balconies to entertain their neighbours and give small concerts.

In fact, every Tuesday, at 12pm, every musicians around the world is invited to play at his or her balcony to make confinement funnier and happier! And as I’m writing, there is precisely one hour left until I destroy my neighbours eardrums 😂!

Last but not least, I was laughing about it earlier on, but actually, if you want to take a short break from working, you could do some fitness exercices like pushups, pull-ups, jumping-jacks, you could also just call your friends and FaceTime them so you can watch Netflix or Canal+ together haha!

In conclusion, it’s pretty complicated to keep the motivation to work in confinement. And although it seem pretty similar to usual holidays, it’s the complete opposite. So try to keep up as much as you can and I hope to see you soon! 😉
