The end of lockdown: freedom with responsibility?

So, from 11 may it is the end of lockdown in France, so it is time to take more responsibility and respect government conditions even if you do not trust a lot. I think it is especially important to our society, to respect for our own safety, health but also for our loved ones, our entourage. And above all it is important in big cities like Paris, where the population is the largest, where we have the most risk of contamination. So, take your responsibilities for your life and others.

France is already in deconfinement, but I am still in Ukraine. I had to enter France on May 18 but here the confinement is extended until May 22 so I must stay here until at least May 25. Here, the government is stricter, we cannot leave our home without the mask, it is compulsory everywhere, if we do not have the mask, we must pay 17,000 grivny (around 550 €).Schools, day nurseries, universities are closed until September, but the terminals pass the exams at the end of May. In each city, there are block posts that measure the temperature of each person in the cars entering and leaving the city. I see that most people respect the rules, but unfortunately there are still people who think they can do as they want. But I am proud of this country!!!

I hope it ends soon and we can start a new year))).

Good post! Glad you brought this up! Wearing a mask is a relatively small sacrifice and its message is “I care about the health of other people around me” basic human compassion. I wonder when Parisians will discover it.

The end of the lockdown

It’s been 2 days that everyone can go outside without problems and we completely see the different. There is a lot of people in the street with masks and there is so much cars, I wasn’t used to it anymore. I’m really happy because I’m going to see my sister near Tours, it’s been 2 months I miss her a bit. By the way I study a lot my science courses and we still have work to do so we must continue to work hard for the exam in continue.

My history book:

This week, for our history class we had to read a book in Spanish called “Si me permiten hablar…” by Domitila Chúngara and then work on it. The reason I am talking about it here is that the book has a lot more to me, for the morality of the book that tells how the Bolivian people (miners, farmers, etc) during the years 50 to 80, managed to unite and fight against the big injustices, the governments that were not at all in their favor or capitalism.

The story is told through the testimony of Domitila who lived through this period, she tells the story of the people in general but also of her personal history because she is one of the most influential women during this period.

This story touched me enormously because during the testimony we learn terrible facts like the fact that she lost several of her children but also one of her sisters but also that she was incarcerated and beaten several times for her ideas or to be able to defend her people.

In any case I recommend the book even though it is in Spanish and I don’t know if it has been translated into other languages.

Free or not ?

First, there are many definitions of freedom: the situation of a person who is not dependent on someone, or who is not locked up, the power to act without constraint, etc. However, the main idea remains the same and the feeling of being free can be felt in different ways: Physically and morally.

So, one might think that we are locked up because we can’t physically leave our homes, that we are denied our activities and access to schools or educational institutions. Our freedom to go outside whenever we want is reduced to regulated outings could make us think that by being controlled we are far from being free.

However, morally we are far away from society, in fact all the codes we have to respect are no longer respected because we stay at home, all the advertisements that influence our society are not useful and our compulsive buying impulses are “controlled”.
To continu, we can say that locked up at home and our access to the internet, we are free to make our choices, to behave as we wish and nobody dictates or imposes “codes” on us. Moreover, the look of others, which pushes many people to behave in order to enter in the society , has no real effect anymore. (except maybe on social networks, but that’s another subject).

It was my point on vue about the liberty during que quarantine.

Strongly disagree. What about people buying insane amount of things online? Most stores are having insane sales. People “breaking” the rules influence others. Look at Bois de Boulogne, huge gatherings of people, not a lot of masks, not a lot of distance between them, people are still behaving as they want and I think there is social pressure to act this way…

The end of the lockdown for AD the trigger

The Lockdown is therefore finished after 1 month and 23 days. But personally I got used to this lifestyle. But I’m happy because I will finally be able to play basketball and crush my enemies. Indeed I am a big fan of basketball. This is why I am called the trigger because I shoot faster than my shadow. So I will be able to hear that soft “Switchhh” noise again. The problem is that during this confinement I gained a lot of weight and I will therefore be heavier on the ground. This is why today I start my diet based on chips in order to stop eating too much salad. The end of this confinement therefore signifies the beginning of the basketball monster AD the Trigger.

SEVENTH WEEK

This week I started to research Luxury for next year.  Since I have more time than usual I read magazines, small books and documentaries.  I like it because I remember a lot from my readings.

Friday was May 1, I used to buy thrush, but this year I didn’t go 🙁

My habits have really changed before I couldn’t stay at home that long.  Now I try to do a lot of things, clean up, cook a lot, read, which I haven’t been able to do in so long, play card with my brother. I think it feels good but I hope to find a  normal life.

New tiramisu recipe

This week I worked on sciences : Physics-chemistry, math and the sciences and life of the Earth. It was quite complicated but I ended up understanding with time.

I have been listening to foreign languages. I now, only listen to shows in English or Spanish. I like it because it teaches me new words and teaches me how to pronounce words better.

The end of lockdown

Yesterday was the first day of reopening. People were able to go back to work or go outside without certificate… This is a good thing for the French economy.

However, this might become a problem in terms of safety and public health. Indeed, with more circulation, the virus can spread more easily. That’s why people need to be protected by masks and adapt barrier gestures such as hand washing.

But some rules are not respected like safety distance. For example, during the rush hour, in public transports, there is a lot of people who are next to each other.

Furthermore, I saw, yesterday, friends’ group outside, without masks and I think it’s too early to do that.

These attitudes can cause a second wave and we will have to be confined again.

So, I think that we need to stay home a little more to be sure that going outside is safe for our health, for the others, and to prevent hospitals from being overcrowded.

See you next week!

a long return to normal

The containment ended two days ago now, but of course everything did not return as before. The security rules are still in place and surely for a good time. What could be more normal after all to avoid an epidemic recovery, and a new containment.

Nothing will be like it was before, even when things have calmed down and a vaccine has been found.

This pandemic taught us to pay more attention to our hygiene by washing our hands more frequently (French being known for not really paying attention by washing our hands before meals and others), or even certain will perhaps avoid do the kisses to greet.

Have you noticed how people look at you when you are not wearing a mask, when it is not mandatory on the street but only in spaces with number influences. When you are alone on the sidewalk you meet a person a lot you look at you with an air or you have done something wrong.

Lots of things are changing, and nothing will really be the same, even if it is what we want.

The end of lockdown.

We are already one day after the end of lockdown, but I still didn’t go out yesterday. I think it’s stupid to go out even if the confinement is over. I find it very irresponsible to go outside as if nothing had happened, just because we’re more confined doesn’t mean the virus is gone. For my part, I personally will make sure not to exceed the limit, that is to say I think I go out about two or three times a week with my mask of course. But I find that mentally it’s already good to think that if you’re more confined, it proves that the mortality rate is already much lower than at the beginning, so personally it was a huge relief to know that. For example, today I went shopping and I really noticed that there were a lot of people outside, which is understandable in real life because people are tired of staying at home but it’s still irresponsible to go outside like that without a mask or anything, we were the only ones wearing masks with my father and we found it really shocking. After shopping we went for a little walk by the lake and morally it felt good to see that people were smiling and happy and that everything was as if nothing had happened, even though deep down we know that danger is still present throughout the world, I hope that everything will be sorted out as soon as possible.

The end of lockdown!!

Hi guys 😜 Yesterday was finally the end of lockdown, so I went out to eat with my best friend, I also went to the dentist and they directly took my temperature, that was king of strange to live. Today when I went to the park, I saw a lot of group of people that were far more than ten.

In one hand, since we had to talk over a phone during almost two months, I find that people are no longer used to speak to each other “for real”. But in the other hand I feel that a week ago we were at school living our “normal life”. I don’t think that we are going back to school this year and I can’t wait the really end of the school year because I’m getting tired of distance school. My dad went back to work but my mom is still working at home, I can’t wait that she finally go back there !!🥵

What really scares me is that we can’t go further than 100km this summer and that we’ll have to stay in Paris. But I don’t think so. I hope that all this situation will not ruin our vacation 🏖
