Me and containment, observation: there are not only coronavirus present

During the last week I thought about what I could write for the blog but today an important thing happened. You can see image taken by my cousin TODAY (05/06/2020).

It is in the countryside, at my grandma’s village. As you can see, it is snowing, SNOW!!! In May!!! This is completely abnormal. It is for the first time that my grandma sees this (she is 75 years old anyway),normally my grandma plant potatoes, cucumbers etc.

What I mean is that climate change is much more present than we thought. Right now, we are talking about coronavirus all the time, forgetting that there are also other problems that our humanity is experiencing and will experience. Yesss, coronavirus is present, and it is especially important for humanity but don’t forget others. What is important is that problems are caused by us, humans!!! It’s sad to realize, but we have to realize that.

Me and the containment: Changes and difficulties .

It has been long-time that I have not post on The QuaranTeens , there are a lot of things that have happened in my life suddenly . To start, there are some health problems in my family so I had to leave for Ukraine in an emergency because it could be the last time, I see my granny (she is better now). I knew that to leave it will be necessary to conquer several problems because of Coronavirus but I did not think it would be that difficult. So, the first thing I needed was to have permission to leave and permission to go to Ukrainian territory, thanks to the Ukrainian ambassador who put my file in priority, and I received my authorization the next day. The second part was plane tickets, I took a plane in an emergency, I paid € 850 for 2 hours of flight (to the Minsk airport) and 44 hours of waiting at the airport then another 2 hours of flight. I could not take the car because of the long queue at border control posts (which can lead to 72 hours of waiting).

In addition, I passed three times the corona test: once at the airport in France then in Minsk and the last on arrival in Ukraine (each cost me around 54 euros). Hopefully, they were all negative.

The Covid-19 really puts in trouble everybody, even those in difficult circumstances. Without all these difficulties, I could arrive in Ukraine in 4 hours.

All I can tell you to conclude is that take good care of yourself and your loved ones.

Almost done

We’ve been quarantined since march, 17th 2020. I don’t really have a routine anymore. I try to do some workout whenever I’ve got the time, the space, but above all, motivation.

I’ve been reading a book for my history class, named ” Memorias de domitilia”. It’s a Bolivian wowan telling her story, a wowan who used to work in the Bolivian mines. There are 2 chapters, in the first one she talks about her people, in the second one, she tells us about her life. She tells us her story with relevant facts, full of details, with a very simple vocabulary.

Si me permiten hablar…”: Testimonio de Domitila, una mujer de las ...

As I already said, we’ve been locked in for more than a month, and I think that it’s all driving us crazy.

Fortunately, it’s been announced that we should be able to go out freely on May, 11th 2020. Which means, that there are 5 days left, at last, to be free. However, I’m wondering if it’s a good idea.

For example, on one hand, the government Scientific Council recommends us not to go back to school before September. On the other hand, The French president, is planning to reopen the schools in May and June. Finally, should we go out and enjoy ? Who should we believe and listen to ? When will we able to get back to our lives ?

My confinement

After 2 months of confinement I see on networks how people are fed up with that situation.

But personally, I live well this confinement, this new way of living even if there are negative points.

Among other things, it allows you to have time for yourself, and especially not to be rushed all day long.

It is an opportunity to be able to take advantage of the present moment and to be able to find yourself with yourself, to take stock of our desires and what we want for the future, but also to take care of ourselves, to be able to play sports. Of course, I am lucky to have a garden that allows me to get some fresh air, to play sports at all hours while continuing to protect myself.

Obviously the biggest negative point of this confinement is of course the lack of direct social contact: meeting friends, laughing in a group, but also family reunions…

The decontainment is coming soon… That’s why I’m getting more and more enthusiastic every day that goes by. The containment was long and just the idea of refinding a social life makes me happy. However, it will be gradual. We are not going to be completely free as of May 11th even if I’m waiting impatiently for this date. But if we start going out, the fear around hand washing is going to be even worse lmao. Here is a meme to illustrate this situation.

To pass the time, to have fun, to serve my parents and to eat well, this week I cooked quite a bit. I tried all kinds of dishes: starters, main courses, and even desserts. I tried to innovate and not do the same thing I usually do. You may see here examples of what I cooked.
Enjoy your meal !

Pasta with three flavors
Pancakes (good for the diet lmao)
And burgers (well i admit they weren’t made by me 🤷‍♂️)

My routine

This quarantine has changed my daily life. Indeed, we had to change our routine to make our days productive.

The morning, I wake up between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. I take my breakfast: fruits and cookies or milk with cereals. After, I start to do my homework.

Then, I prepare my lunch, something healthy to stay fit. I clean the kitchen and I go back to work until 5 p.m.

After that, during one hour, I work out to change my mind and to forget during one time this coronavirus. It makes me feel better and more appeased. I take a shower, I put my pajama and I eat some almonds. After, I stay with my parents, we discuss about the news or something else. Sometimes we do a yoga session.

We go to prepare the dinner, we eat and after the coolest moment arrives: I watch a movie, or a series. I love that!

That is my routine! See you next week!

Be prepared!

Since the beginning we have observed several cases and steps.
In fact, at the beginning people were rather indifferent and didn’t care too much then they understood and the confinement has proved its worth however these days since the announcement of the de-confinement on May 11th, people are changing their behavior.

As I say, since that date people have become more relaxed and it is not uncommon to see crowded markets or people on family walks in crowded places and also clandestine “parties”.

I’m quite disappointed because we’ve held up so far…

However, I too am looking forward to a “normal” life, but I think the world will be a very different place.
I’m thinking in particular of public transport or clothing stores that will have to find ways to provide health security.
In addition, our daily habits will change drastically… no more hugs, and no more handshakes to say hello.

Anyway, my post today is quite short because I broke my phone and all my notes of the week are in it, I’ll get it back soon so it should be ok.
Bye

How to write an article on QuaranTEENS

It isn’t always a piece of cake to find a suitable subject to develop when you have to write a post on QuaranTEENS… I didn’t even know what I was going to say a few seconds ago.
But I’m here to help you with this even though I am not the best at writing.
There are many things you can talk about during quarantine, but there are pretty original ones and the ones you choose by default. For instance, telling us how your week was is good, but it feels like it could use a little originality.

I might have a few examples of original subjects: you could talk about a brand new hobby, create yourself a hobby to talk about, and even try to guide everyone to find new hobbies. You could also do DIY articles in order to share your technique and knowledge. You could also talk about the situation of the world and/or of the country and about what you think is going to happen next. For that, many different versions of it exist.

For what’s less original, without wanting to disappoint anybody, telling how your day, your week or how life is during confinement, except if your contracted the COVID-19 or any other virus, is pretty frequently seen. It’s a shame that it isn’t Saturday night yet, I could’ve had the Saturday night fever, and luckily it would go away haha.

I hope y’all feelin’ ok 🤭😆, have a good evening!

I didn’t have much creativity when writing this one 😅

Movies

During the past few days, I’ve mostly been watching movies that my friend proposed to me. I’ve watched big classic such as Scarface, Le parrain, Forrest Gump, The Green Mile, 12 Angry Men, Pulp Fiction, The Ghost Writer, Usual Suspects and many others. That occupies me a lot, and makes time pass quickly but I’ve not been working since I’ve been watching movies.

The movies I really loved were the Devil’s advocate, Rosemary’s baby and Jackie Brown I found those 3 really interesting, they actors really played their roles very well, and the scenarios were great.

SIXTH WEEK

Once confinement is complete, life will change completely.  Our relationships will be different because we will have to respect a distancing.  It’s not going to be easy at first but we’ll get used to it. Human interaction will therefore have a great impact.  We can no longer take hands, cuddle, kiss.  I think a lot of people will be anxious about getting the virus and therefore there will be distrust.

I hope that researchers, doctors … will find a vaccine against the virus as soon as possible.  It would be a relief for the whole world.  We could then find our habits and our hobbies.

I watch a lot of series when I’m not working and it helps me pass the time.  I listen to music all the time, and especially when I go running.

Finally, my little brother is a source of daily happiness.

🙂

See you
